Difficulty in accessing medication from compliance packaging are commonly due to:

• Forgetfulness
• Complexity of the treatment regimen
• Intentional non-compliance

These are just some of the most common causes of non-compliance.

It’s estimated that up to 50 per cent of all prescribed medication is not used by patients as intended by the prescriber. The potential cost to personal health and to the NHS, is huge. Between 11 per cent and 30 per cent of drug related hospital admissions are due to patients not using their medication as intended by the prescriber.

How does it work?

Anytime/Anywhere: using the simple, tear-off strip format of our Flexi Plus-Pak, the patient can remain completely mobile and independent – simply tear off and go!

The pack has compartments (blisters) each of which holds all the medication, in tablet or capsule form, which is due at a particular administration time on a particular day. 

There are normally 4 different administration times for each day in the UK and all are clearly marked in large print: breakfast, lunch, teatime, bedtime.  An integral instruction flap to which the pharmacy affixes the medication labels, giving the patient clear and simple advice on using the pack and also clear and accurate information on the identification and dosage instructions of the individual medicines.
